Affliction is being caught in the press of life. Hemmed in on all sides, we feel all the pressure. No way to turn. No sudden escape. But You will make it. Keep going! Yes, it hurts. Yes, it’s stressful. Yes, you want out. But keep going. Fall to your knees if you must. Fall on your face when it is really heavy. But just keep going.” Anguish is the mother of endurance and the Father has conceived you to survive.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.
For everything written in the past was written to teach us, so that with the encouragement of the Holy Scriptures we might patiently hold on to our hope. And may God, the source of encouragement and patience, give you the same attitude among yourselves as the Messiah Yeshua had.
“When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because the day for her delivery has arrived, but when she has delivered a son, she does not remember the distress for the joy that a son has been born into the world.”
But He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our shalom was on Him; and by His wounds we are healed.
Yeshua teaches us that true victory is to finish together. My brothers and sisters must survive. I can’t leave them behind because my job is to make sure they reach the destination too. (I am my brother’s keeper).
1 Samuel 14:6
Jonathan said to his young armour-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”
